Unfortanly, I do agree with ianp622 about people flaming-so be ready for the heat Īctually I was just seeing if anyone knew of such a thing or if it existed. Did you mean either coding and/or GameMaker? This statement implies that GameMaker is a requirement-which is not true. If this is true, why not add networking support to the game? Of course, this requires coding.Īlso, mangement of true MMORPGs can cost upwards to several thousand $$, depending on the game. Also, if you want your game to support only about 20 players, it is not coinsidered an MMO. There is no such thing as an "MMORPG maker" nor an "MMORPG engine". You will still need to learn the engine that you choose Uh, basically something a complete noob could use without having to learn anything new.

How do you expect to create quests without scripts and/or code?
#Free 2d mmorpg maker how to
I wish you luck in whichever path you choose to take, whether you go with a game maker or learn how to code.Īn engine that requires NO scripting, optional is okay, but i want to make a quest without having to code it.

Sometimes programming knowledge can even help you use game making programs better. If you actually have an interest in making games, I suggest learning how to program first. I think coding is the easy part for simple games. I don't understand how you would not have time to code but would have time to create images, rules, and animations. This should be in the For Beginners forum.ħ. You'll probably be redirected to this page:Ħ. Live action roleplaying experience doesn't really translate into computer game RPG making experience.ĥ. You can't make a game with neither coding nor scripting, unless you use GameMaker.Ĥ. People here don't like game makers much, probably because they (and I do too) find enjoyment in knowing that they made a game the old-fashioned way.ģ. I don't understand why you don't want to use Konfuze and Eclipse.Ģb. You need to be able to make a couple regular games (like maybe about 20) before you learn how to make an MMORPG.Ģ. These are the reasons why people will start flaming:ġ. I'm trying to be helpful by saying you might not want to come back to this thread. There are going to be a bunch of people who are going to come here and insult you and make fun of you for a number of reasons. if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. im only 14, and due to sports, rotc, school etc., i dont have time to learn code and this is basically a non-profit hobby of mine. i already tried konfuze, eclipse, and others like it but in the end to make quest i needed to know how to code. we only need something compatible with about 20 people. however its getting hard to keep track on paper so we need something that comes with a server/client. it started out as a joke but we seriously got into it and started getting more players. i already have a live action rpg game that me and my friends play. Now before you go flaming me, heres why i have these preferences: uh, basically something a complete noob could use without having to learn anything new. I am fine with going into files and rearranging info. an engine that requires NO scripting, optional is okay, but i want to make a quest without having to code it. i want to make an mmorpg, however, i dont want to spend any money at all.
